Project Manager – General Contracting Division
We have an immediate need for a Construction Project Manager in our General Contracting Division to be based out of our Canton, GA office location. The Project Manager will be responsible for organizing and overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of diverse and complex construction endeavors. Your role will involve coordinating various project elements, managing budgets, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Leads the project team to complete an assigned project on time, on/under budget, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
- Outlines the tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly.
- Evaluates new project estimates and completes buyout of all scopes while managing budgets.
- Conducts cost analysis, while managing budget for the project.
- Prepares and implements a budget based on estimates.
- Delegates work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints.
- Conduct risk assessments; reports identified risks to management; provide recommendations for mitigation of risk.
- Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project from both Internal and External Stakeholders.
- Serve as the single POC (point of contact) company, customers, and subcontractor/vendors.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
- Develop and maintain project schedules utilizing Microsoft Project.
- Possess financial acumen to understand revenue recognition, process change orders and make budget adjustments.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager overseeing complex commercial construction projects valued at $1M+.
- Experience in estimating/quantity take-off is highly desirable.
- Experience in all scopes of work on a commercial construction project including- MEP’s and site work.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Primavera, Procore or other project management related software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field a plus, minimum 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in Commercial Construction.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Must be willing to travel up to 25%
