CBIZ is assisting a client, located in LA, searching for a Worker's Compensation Attorney -Defense.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent employers and insurance carriers in workers' compensation claims.
• Conduct thorough and accurate case evaluations, including initial case analysis, legal research, and assessment of potential exposure.
• Review, analyze, and interpret medical records and reports to develop comprehensive defense strategies.
• Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Conduct depositions, hearings, and trials, presenting well-prepared and effective arguments.
• Engage in settlement negotiations and mediations to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and risks related to workers' compensation claims.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with medical experts, vocational specialists, and other professionals to support case strategy.
• Manage a caseload efficiently while maintaining high standards of client communication and service.
• 10 years experience in defendant side

Salary: 175-250K

Must be licensed in CA
