Job Title: Maritime Technical Director

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL

Salary: $175K-$200K + 25% bonus

About the Opportunity:

A growing maritime solutions provider in Florida seeks a Maritime Technical Director to oversee fleet technical operations.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise Technical Superintendents
• Oversee maintenance, dry-docking, and major repairs
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Manage technical budgets and control costs
• Lead preventive maintenance to reduce downtime
• Collaborate with port engineers and senior management
• Implement vessel safety, quality, and environmental goals
• Conduct vessel inspections and foster crew relations

Must-Have Skills:

• Bachelor's in Marine Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years of maritime engineering management experience
• Experience on tankers
• Operations background
• Strong leadership skills
• Experience with Class-audited safety management systems
• Ability to collaborate with customers for safe, reliable operations
• Strong multitasking and stakeholder management skills

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Chief Engineer’s License
• Familiarity with ABS NS5, AutoCAD
