SUMMARY:
The Supply Chain & Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing inventory management, inventory accuracy, production planning, and work order management. Reporting directly to the Director of Procurement & Planning, this role ensures accurate inventory levels, performs necessary adjustments, conducts inventory planning functions, and collaborates with the warehouse team on a monthly cycle-count program.
PROJECTS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, implement, and monitor inventory control procedures for both internal and third-party warehouses.
- Create and manage a cycle-count process while collaborating with finance and operations to maintain accuracy for raw materials and finished goods.
- Verify output quantities and process material consumption based on actual usage at the plant.
- Review, analyze, and report weekly on consumption variances.
- Manage initiatives to reduce material waste and support cost-saving programs.
- Maintain item master data and bills of materials to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Manage the weekly production schedule to meet customer orders and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Provide production schedules to the manufacturing team and update them as necessary.
- Establish and oversee a finished product inventory rotation process to ensure compliance during shipping.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to provide training on accurate inventory transaction processes.
- Offer backup support for procurement and planning functions.
- Complete required training related to food and personal safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, inventory control, quality management, costing, and related techniques for effective production and distribution.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- 5-10 years of experience in planning, inventory management, warehousing, or purchasing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, Outlook).
Preferred:
- Associate degree in Inventory Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Experience using Microsoft NAV.
- Background in the food industry.
