Associate Business Analyst
1 Year Contract - 40 hours/week
Hybrid - Charlotte, NC - Not considering relocation candidates.
Summary:
Calculated Hire is seeking a highly capable Business Analyst to join our Fortune 150 Utility client in Uptown Charlotte. This position will be an Associate Level role. This opportunity is within a large implementation project focused on consolidating legacy systems into one platform and will primarily be centered around supporting Billing and Revenue Services leaders. You will gain knowledge around the newest SAP technologies and become a SME throughout the project by working with the backend team to understand and work with their SAP HANA database. You will have access to training, tools and technologies that take your knowledge to the next level and advance your career professionally.
Expectations:
There will be a quick ramp up, with little separate training, so this individual will need to be able to pick things up quickly and be self-sufficient in many respects. This individual will be gathering requirements, acting as the liaison between teams, documenting findings, and analyzing defects. This Business Analyst will need to be a heads-up individual who is capable enough to go above and beyond to deliver the experience our internal customers expect.
Job Functions:
· Gather requirements on new reports for the users & ask questions to further understand and refine requirements
· Utilize strong Excel skills & further develop SQL skills to navigate databases
· Documenting and providing findings to development team
· Liaison between business and IT teams, effectively communicating status updates
· Manage defects & digging into why there may be defects in the code or reports
· Learn the applications that we support
· Build relationships with our business partners & take initiative reaching out/asking strong questions
· Writing and executing test cases to test incident resolutions
Minimum Qualifications:
· Professional experience or extensive internship/project experience in analytics required
· Technical aptitude & general problem-solving skills
· Facilitation, communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment and matrixed organization
· Proficient in MS Office products – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint
· Bachelor's degree
· Eager to learn
Preferred Qualifications:
· SQL exposure
· Soft skills is a must: excellent communicator
· Able to be a liaison for a diverse team both on and offshore
· Self-sufficient
· Data analysis skillset would be a plus
