Senior Project Manager – Infrastructure, Network, and Security

Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite in St. Paul

6 month contract


We are looking for a seasoned Senior Project Manager to oversee and drive technical projects, primarily within infrastructure, network, and security teams. This role demands a strategic leader with strong project management expertise, capable of achieving successful outcomes while ensuring alignment with business objectives.


Project and Program Management

  • Lead the development of comprehensive project plans, leveraging both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Define and manage project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Coordinate internal and third-party resources to ensure effective execution of projects according to established parameters.
  • Employ project management tools to track, report, and ensure timely project delivery.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor to project sponsors.
  • Keep stakeholders and executive management informed on project status, risks, and issues, adjusting expectations and escalating as necessary.
  • Ensure that project objectives are aligned with broader business goals through ongoing stakeholder management.

Team Leadership and Collaboration

  • Lead and guide project teams, offering mentorship to junior project managers to enhance service delivery.
  • Encourage a collaborative, productive atmosphere within the PMO and across project teams.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination across departments to ensure seamless execution of projects.
  • Take charge of change management and resolve conflicts within projects as they arise.
  • Clarify roles, responsibilities, and deliverables to ensure team efficiency and success.

Risk and Issue Management

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues throughout the lifecycle of projects and programs.
  • Develop and execute proactive mitigation plans to address challenges.
  • Monitor and report on the progress and performance of projects to ensure goals are achieved on time and within scope.

Budget and Resource Oversight

  • Manage project budgets in compliance with governance guidelines.
  • Allocate resources effectively, optimizing capacity planning and demand management to ensure project success.
  • Track expenditures to ensure strict adherence to budget limits.

Change and Transformation Management

  • Lead initiatives around transformation and organizational change to facilitate smooth adoption of solutions and processes.
  • Champion efforts to drive long-term impact and successful implementation of changes.

Process Optimization

  • Assist in refining project management methodologies and practices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the PMO, fostering a culture of operational excellence.
  • Stay informed about emerging industry trends and best practices to continuously improve project management processes.
