Job Description:
The Project Manager (PM) will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget . This role encompasses project governance , funding management , timeline development , and ensuring complete project readiness for go-live.
The PM serves as a lead for commercialization projects that result in a new or changing product and/or package . This involves managing the total project timeline to achieve on-time delivery while adhering to cost and quality parameters .
The PM is responsible for leading project meetings with cross-functional team members from Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Research & Development, Quality, Finance, Procurement, and Supply Chain . This includes soliciting updates, capturing meeting notes, assigning clear ownership of required follow-ups, and driving the team towards solutions that ensure projects are delivered in scope and on time .
The PM will serve as the Ideas to Market (I2M) expert , guiding teams through the various stages of development, from idea generation to on-shelf execution . The PM will leverage their understanding of both the big picture and the details of projects to effectively negotiate and influence organizational leadership .
Responsibilities:
- Manage product development through commercialization using the I2M process .
- Lead cross-functional team meetings .
- Facilitate risk identification , development and execution of mitigation plans , clear understanding of trade-offs , and escalation of concerns as needed.
- Manage timelines for new product launches and productivity initiatives .
- Support the business delivery of overall financial targets .
Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Chemistry, Food Science , or a related field of study.
- 3+ years of experience in a role focused on new product launches (either Project Management, Research & Development, or Manufacturing ).
- Demonstrated attention to detail , ability to manage complexity , and strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills .
- Understanding of supply chain operational management , including cost of goods sold (COGS), capacity, logistics, planning, capital, safety, and quality .
