Job Description

Our client is a civil and electrical engineering consulting firm whose Phase I, II and III projects include work through the Illinois Department of Transportation, the Illinois Toll Highway Authority, counties, municipalities, and other agencies throughout Illinois. Our client is currently looking for a talented and experienced Civil Engineer to join their growing team.


The Civil Engineer must have 5+ years' experience working in Illinois transportation


Civil Engineer Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related
  • Must be a PE with 5 - 8+ years of experience in the transportation engineering marketplace
  • Must be local to the Chicagoland area
  • Working knowledge of industry standards
  • Must be organized, self-directed, able to prioritize and multi-task, work in a team environment and take direction from others and provide direction to others
  • Must have experience with CADD/Design software - MicroStation/Open Roads Designer


Civil Engineer Description:

  • Manage, review, and assist with the production of design plans, schedules, reports, calculations, estimates and specifications
  • Assignments will include Safety Reviews, Roadway Plan and Profiles, Maintenance of Traffic Plans, Pavement Marking Plans and QC/QA
  • Other duties as assigned
