Reporting to the company President, The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for performing

general building and property maintenance. Maintain HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems and equipment. Coordinate the day-to-day operation of the maintenance department. Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install,troubleshoot, repair and maintain equipment according to safety, preventive, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and. objectives. The Maintenance Manager shall ensure that the grounds are maintained appropriately.


Desired Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED Completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and Maintenance Coordination experience.
  • A diploma and/or degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of machinery and buildings in the food industry.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Profide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment, structures and grounds on the property.
  • Perform skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Ensure effective management of loss prevention, risk management, security, maintenance, ventilation, heating, cooling and other daily activities.
  • Keep accurate records of space conditions including roof, HVAC and utilities.
  • Plan and manage replacement of major capital expense items such as HVAC system, roof systems, plant equipment and parking lot surfaces.
  • Ensure 24/ 7 availability for emergency services.
  • Oversee all maintenance mechanics.
  • Cleans light fixtures and changes bulbs/tubes.
  • Manage Performs minor repairs on windows, doors, switches, desks, tables, plugs, equipment, appliances, sinks, toilets, blinds etc.
  • Contacts appropriate maintenance service shop for major repairs.
  • Responsible for vandalism clean up and repair within skill level.
  • Maintains heating and air conditioning systems, boilers, pumps, fan units, control panels,
  • thermostats, cooling towers, etc.
  • Maintains and/or has working knowledge of environmental safeguards and alarm systems.
  • Maintains fire alarms and extinguishers.
  • Prepares and sets up rooms or auditoriums for meetings, parties, or various other activities and cleans up afterwards.
  • Maintains outside grounds (removes snow, ice, and debris, sprays and removes weeds, sweeps and cleans gutters, waters and maintains sprinkling system.
  • Monitors emergency generator, function and orders refueling.
  • Plan and prioritize work for self and staff.
  • Determine needed supplies and equipment.
  • Monitor need for equipment, maintenance and repair.
  • Responsible for proper inventory of materials and supplies.
  • Recommends hiring and retention of custodial Maintenance personnel.
  • Monitors work quality, trains as needed.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and facilities.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
  • Update and maintain information in the company records systems and department databases
  • Set priorities for preventative maintenance work orders, maintenance requisitions and scheduled work.
  • Adhere to departmental procedures and systems, e.g., systems for preventative maintenance, maintenance requisitions, scheduled work and continued quality improvement/risk management
  • programs.
  • Keep current with ongoing changes and new technology and adapt accordingly.
  • Maintain inventory of equipment, manuals and warranties.
  • Prepare monthly reports and budget
