Job Title: Data Science Leader – Advanced Analytics & Retail Consulting

Location: Toronto, Canada

Hybrid: 3-4 days on-site

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate professional to lead advanced data science initiatives, leveraging hands-on expertise in Python programming and retail consulting experience to drive client success. In this role, you will work with leading organizations to tackle complex challenges and enable sustained analytics transformation.

As a key leader in our Customer Success organization, you will guide a team of consultants to design and implement cutting-edge analytical solutions while maintaining strong client relationships. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive on solving complex data problems, delivering strategic insights, and mentoring high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategies and roadmaps to build data analytics capabilities for retail clients.
• Apply advanced data science techniques (e.g., regression, machine learning, time series) to solve business challenges using Python and other analytics tools.
• Oversee the creation of actionable insights and data-driven recommendations to bring customer strategies to life.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with retail clients, serving as a thought leader and strategic partner.
• Lead and mentor a team of associates across the US and Canada, fostering growth and success.
• Collaborate with global delivery teams, ensuring seamless project execution through our global delivery model.
• Proactively identify business development opportunities within client engagements to expand projects and partnerships.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience leading analytics or data science projects in a fast-paced environment, with retail consulting expertise as a firm requirement.
• Advanced programming skills in Python, with a strong portfolio of hands-on experience in analytics and data science.
• Deep knowledge of statistical modeling, machine learning, and time series forecasting, including proficiency in tools like R, SAS, SPSS, and Tableau.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale analytics programs, including resource allocation, methodology design, and execution.
• Strong project management and client relationship management skills, with experience working in sensitive and complex environments.
• Exceptional communication skills for presenting insights and influencing stakeholders, including senior leadership.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and adept at translating business challenges into analytics opportunities.
• Experience working with cross-functional, cross-cultural teams, with a global mindset.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% as needed

Education/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Retail consulting experience is mandatory
