We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Administrative Assistant to support our VP of Purchasing and Procurement Manager.
Job Overview:
The Procurement Project Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the VP of Purchasing and Procurement Manager with various projects and tasks. This position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude. The successful candidate will handle day-to-day administrative tasks, manage follow-up action items from meetings, communicate with vendors and suppliers, and assist in the procurement process.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the VP of Purchasing, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and preparing documents.
Project Assistance: Assist with various procurement projects, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to the required standards.
Sample Management: Coordinate the sending out of samples to vendors and clients, tracking their progress and ensuring timely delivery.
Follow-Up Actions: Manage follow-up action items from meetings, ensuring all tasks are completed and deadlines are met.
Vendor Communication: Reach out to vendors and suppliers for information, updates, and follow-ups as required.
Day-to-Day Tasks: Handle day-to-day procurement-related tasks, ensuring smooth operations and addressing any issues that arise promptly.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and correspondence.
Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve issues related to procurement processes and vendor relationships.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to support the overall goals of the procurement department.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in an administrative or procurement role is highly desirable.
