This role will be on our Mobility Solutions team, a leading supplier of automotive interior, electrification, and resin materials and parts.

Position Overview:

The Quality Manager ensures compliance with customer quality requirements and drives continuous improvement. This role develops and manages quality-related policies, standards, procedures, and programs to maintain high performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement internal quality policies, guidelines, and procedures.
• Investigate customer quality complaints, coordinate corrective actions, and manage containment efforts.
• Conduct quality audits at supplier facilities and ensure compliance with customer quality standards.
• Serve as the primary liaison between Nagase, customers, and suppliers for quality-related matters.
• Oversee Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes and facilitate successful product launches.
• Manage Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities, including PFMEA, Control Plans, and Run-at-Rate studies.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and resolve issues using the 8D problem-solving method.
• Respond to customer complaints promptly to minimize financial impacts.
• Ensure team training on quality processes and maintain accurate documentation.
• Provide regular status updates to senior management and support special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

Required Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of experience in quality systems, automotive quality processes, APQP/PPAP, and supplier assessment.
• Expertise in IATF 16949 and OEM quality processes.

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Background in Mechanical, Chemical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Knowledge of automotive adhesives, injection molding, or plastics.
• Active participation in industry organizations (e.g., SAE, SPE, AIAG).
• Experience with JIT quality management and proficiency in Japanese (preferred).

Work Environment:

• Operates in a professional office setting with standard office equipment.
• Primarily sedentary, with occasional lifting of files or accessing filing cabinets.
• Full-time, Hybrid, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, with occasional evenings and weekends as needed.

Travel Requirements:

• Domestic and international travel may be required.
• A valid driver’s license and passport are necessary.
