With one of the most highly curated wine lists in the Triangle, the food you'll help prepare will contribute to truly inspiring experiences for our guests. We are about to launch a stellar weekend brunch program, and also will need evening help. • Saturday and Sunday morning - mid afternoon availability required
• Some evenings required
• 2-3 years in similar position preferred
• Proficient knife skills
• Proficient knowledge of product storage, rotation and usage
• Proficient awareness of kitchen cleanliness
• Responsible for all aspects of food preparation and service in compliance of company standards, under direct supervision of culinary management and the General Manager
• Ensures that high standards of sanitation, cleanliness and safety are maintained throughout all kitchen areas at all times
• Follows standard recipes and techniques for food preparation and presentation which assure consistency
• Interacts with the FOH staff to assure the food quality consistently exceeds the expectations of guests
• Adhere to all cleaning schedules and duties set up by the Head Chef or General Manager
• Responsible for the set-up, cleanliness and organization of workstations for daily service before, during and after every shift (dish area, food service window)
• Ensure the highest quality preparation and presentation of food items
• Ensure efficient delivery of food ready for service
• Support the operation overall of The Wine Feed team
• Complete specific cleaning responsibilities and station maintenance including, but not limited to floors, prep and dry storage areas.
• Dispose of trash and debris according to The Wine Feed’s procedures.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
• Maintain a gracious, pleasant and friendly attitude while contributing to a team-based work environment
• Very good communication skills
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours at a time
• Ability to lift 50 lbs frequently
• Ability to lift 25 pounds overhead onto high shelves
