We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech Therapist to provide exceptional care for patients with speech and language impairments. The successful candidate will assess and treat various conditions such as articulation challenges, stuttering, language delays, voice irregularities, and swallowing difficulties, working with patients of all ages in a collaborative healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities of a Speech Therapist:
- Perform evaluations to assess speech and language impairments.
- Design and implement individualized therapy plans to address specific speech and language needs.
- Provide treatment for conditions including articulation challenges, language development delays, stuttering, voice irregularities, and swallowing difficulties.
- Use diverse therapeutic methods to improve communication and swallowing abilities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Record patient progress and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation.
- Educate patients and their families on therapy objectives and techniques, ensuring understanding and cooperation.
Qualifications for a Speech Therapist:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Active state licensure or certification in Speech-Language Pathology.
- In-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to speech and language.
- Experience in medical or healthcare settings, ideally in critical or acute care.
- Experience with pediatric patients is desirable but not required.
