Job Summary :
FE Medical Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Board-Certified Endocrinologist to join our team. This on-site position involves diagnosing and treating a wide range of endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid diseases, hormonal imbalances, and metabolic issues. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care and develop individualized treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities :
- Patient Care :
- Perform comprehensive assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations focused on endocrine disorders.
- Diagnose, manage, and treat patients with conditions such as diabetes, thyroid and adrenal disorders, metabolic bone diseases, and hormonal imbalances.
- Create tailored treatment plans, including medication management, lifestyle recommendations, and ongoing monitoring.
- Procedural Expertise :
- Conduct and interpret specialized tests, such as hormone tests, imaging studies, and biopsies when necessary.
- Work closely with lab and diagnostic teams to ensure accurate results and proper follow-up care.
- Collaboration and Coordination :
- Coordinate with primary care physicians and specialists in other disciplines to ensure holistic patient care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and planning to optimize patient outcomes.
- Patient Education and Counseling :
- Educate patients and their families on endocrine conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle changes to manage or prevent chronic diseases.
- Provide counseling on preventive care, nutrition, and treatment adherence.
- Documentation and Compliance :
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with medical standards and regulations.
- Document all interactions, treatment plans, and test results for continuity of care and compliance.
- Continuing Medical Education :
- Stay updated on the latest research, treatments, and protocols in endocrinology.
- Participate in relevant workshops, seminars, and professional development to provide state-of-the-art care.
Qualifications :
- Education : MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Certification : Board certification in Endocrinology.
- License : Valid and active medical license to practice in Florida
- Experience :
- Demonstrated experience in endocrinology, with a focus on diagnosing and treating complex endocrine disorders.
- Proficiency in interpreting lab results and managing chronic conditions like diabetes.
