Commercial Lines Department Manager - Hybrid - Sacramento, CA

  • Competitive base salary $85,000 - $135,000 annual salary depending on experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience - You have at least 7-10+ years of Account Management experience with a general book of business. An extensive amount of experience in a leadership role and managing a large team.
  • Licensed - Active Property & Casualty license
  • Knowledge - Expertise in insurance products, markets, ratings, and underwriting procedures
  • Software – You have experience using agency management software, Microsoft Office, carrier websites, and other software systems as needed for the position. Experience with Applied Epic is preferred!


The Position:

  • Responsible for leading the commercial lines department
  • Help motivate and guide the team toward company goals and objectives
  • Verify policies with submission, quotation, and proposals
  • Make any proposal changes and quotations from client meetings with the producer
  • Thoroughly check endorsements via Account Executive requests
  • Prepare applications for submission with underwriting information provided by the producer
  • Follow up with Markets for quotations and issue auto ID cards
  • Create the proposal booklets under the direction of the Account Executive
