Job Description

To ensure overall effective and efficient operations for the store’s daily activities including the following: customer service, shipping/receiving, and overall facility upkeep. Ensure the best overall experience for customers.


Job Duties:

  • Manage operational staff day-to-day, including training, coaching, and mentoring to foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to creating a safe workplace free of injuries through actions and leadership.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the branch's profit & loss.
  • Contribute to and support the achievement of top-line sales goals.
  • Interview, hire, and onboard branch staff.
  • Safeguards company assets and associates. Provides operational oversight and inventory management procedures.
  • Acts as liaison to functional leadership to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.
  • Monitors local market trends. Develops and executes strategies to grow local market. share and aggressively pursues business opportunities.
  • Works closely with vendors to maximize sales and increase profitability.
  • Ensures efficient operations through adherence to policies and procedures and process excellence.
  • Maintains compliance with applicable government regulations. Ensures environmental health and safety and regulatory responsibilities are followed.
  • Oversee and assist with requests directly from customers and outside sales (via phone, email, fax, website ordering) for price quotations, product availability, and orders in a timely manner.
  • Source materials that NEFCO does not keep in stock through interaction with purchasing team.
  • Provide promotional literature and product information as requested.
  • Maintain proficiency in NEFCO product catalogs, Eclipse, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Maintain product and industry proficiency via training.
  • Review direct reports’ timecards and PTO requests, ensuring employees’ time is accurately recorded and complete.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of managerial experience and product knowledge
  • Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Highly motivated and self-directed with the ability to motivate others
  • Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
  • Demonstrate strong math aptitude and attention to detail
  • Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision-making skills
  • Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate strong ability to work in fast pace, high pressure environment
  • Excellent computer skills and capability to adeptly operate NEFCO’s Enterprise Resource Planning, Eclipse, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to climb stairs, stretch, bend, and lift a 50 lb box (as occasional incidental tasks


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with sales order computer software.
  • Wholesale distribution experience.
  • Possess a degree in Business/Marketing OR have equivalent industry experience and knowledge of the local market.
