Project Coordinator 2
Location: Vancouver, WA (Hybrid)
Duration: 12-month Contract (with possible extensions up to 5 years)
Assists and supports the assigned Project Manager with the Project. Provides coordination and control support for project efforts including cost and timeline tracking of specific projects. Analyzes and coordinates specific project functions of a firm or organization; Supports coordination of the project lifecycle.
Position Responsibilities:
Coordinator for all project documentation; facilitates continuity of all phases of project.
Maintains and develops business relationships with key personnel involved in or directly relevant to the project activity.
Coordinates planning/scheduling, business systems maintenance, estimating, cost engineering, and /or contract administration as requested by the Project Manager.
Collaborates with other departments as necessary to meet project requirements, to optimize available resources or, in the case of issues with timelines or deliverables, to minimize negative impacts on the project.
Assists Project Manager with developing and implementing technical project management tools such as plans, schedules, and responsibility and compliance matrices.
Produces and maintains documents, reports, spreadsheets, and graphics related to project control and timelines; prioritizes tasks and anticipates the needs of the project. Reports project plans, progress, and results.
Reviews project performance with project manager and management team, measuring against targets, benchmarks and established timelines. Conducts and/or supports the compilation and analysis of technical source data necessary for project development.
Coordinates project activities, which may include establishing task priorities, scheduling and tracking work assignments, providing guidance, and monitoring the availability of project resources.
Works closely with Project Manager(s) providing tracking, research and cost control support for major projects; develops an understanding of project needs and takes actions to verify that such needs are met.
Serves as a member of project teams designated by Project Manager.
May provide some technical guidance to less experienced project personnel.
Position Requirements:
Education & Corresponding Experience
A bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business administration or management, organizational development, or other related technical discipline is preferred.
5 years of experience is required with an applicable bachelor's degree.
7 years of experience is required with an applicable associate degree.
9 years of experience is required without a degree or applicable degree.
Experience should include direct work experience in project coordination / control capacity, including all aspects of scheduling, schedule management, and scheduling conflict resolutions.
Required Technical Skills & Experience
Demonstrated proficiency using SharePoint, to store, analyze, and manipulate data.
4 years of Microsoft Project experience.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience in the electric utility industry data.
Experience managing multiple (or bundled) project schedules.
Ability to analyze, understand and effectively document technical data.
Ability to store, manipulate, and organize large numbers of files and folders using Microsoft Windows networks or other document management programs.
