We have been retained to help a leading provider of cutting-edge electronic test and measurement solutions, serving clients across industries such as telecommunications, aerospace, automotive, defense, semiconductor, and consumer electronics fill a Manufacturers Sales Rep position. They deliver advanced technologies and expert support that help engineers, researchers, and product developers ensure quality, reliability, and compliance in their innovations.


Position Summary:

We are seeking a driven, technically astute Manufacturer’s Sales Representative to expand market presence, strengthen customer relationships, and drive revenue growth within an assigned territory. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of electronic test and measurement equipment, strong consultative selling skills, and the ability to articulate the value of complex solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management & Business Development: Identify, qualify, and develop new sales opportunities within the assigned territory. Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers, leveraging a consultative approach to uncover customer needs, deliver value-added solutions, and ensure long-term customer satisfaction.
  • Technical Consultation & Product Demonstrations: Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, thoroughly understanding their test, measurement, and validation challenges. Provide expert guidance on product selection, application configurations, and system integration. Conduct on-site demonstrations, webinars, and training sessions to highlight product capabilities and secure buy-in.
  • Sales Strategy & Pipeline Management: Develop and execute territory sales plans and strategies that align with corporate objectives. Manage and maintain a robust sales pipeline, accurately forecast sales opportunities, and meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings. Leverage this knowledge to position (Company Name) products effectively, communicate unique value propositions, and differentiate the company’s solutions from the competition.
  • Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support: Partner with internal teams—including Product Management, Marketing, Technical Support, and Engineering—to address customer requirements, refine product offerings, and enhance overall customer satisfaction. Provide feedback to influence product roadmap decisions and identify opportunities for product improvements.
  • Reporting & Administration: Maintain accurate customer records, opportunity details, and activity logs within CRM tools. Prepare regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and territory analyses to communicate progress and challenges to management.


Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or a related technical field preferred. Equivalent industry experience will be considered. Minimum of 3-5 years of technical sales experience within the electronic test and measurement industry or related sectors.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of electronic test and measurement principles, instrumentation operation, and typical applications in R&D, manufacturing, and compliance testing environments. Ability to interpret technical specifications and recommend appropriate test solutions.
  • Sales Skills: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets through consultative, solution-based selling. Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing abilities.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences. Strong relationship-building capabilities and a customer-first mindset.
  • Self-Motivation & Organization: Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and thrive in a dynamic, goal-oriented environment. Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
  • Technology & Tools: Proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual meeting platforms. Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
