Job Summary
The Sales Executive IV, through direct interaction with customers, closes highly profitable energy deals and informs customers of TXU Energy products and services in the assigned geographic territory
Job Description
Key Accountabilities
•Meet or exceed company sales and customer service objectives
•Use a variety of techniques to identify potential business customers
•Work with customers to negotiate energy deals that benefit both TXUE and the customer
•Work with management to refine sales strategy to optimize efficiency and results
•Analyze customer historical energy usage to develop deal proposals
•Deliver proposals and presentations outlining customer needs and deals
•Maintain accurate and timely customer information with sales operations
•Work with other depts to ensure customer accounts are handled efficiently and accurately
•Ensure customer issues are resolved in a timely manner
•Remain current on competitive intelligence and energy industry trends
•Ability to negotiate credit & contract provisions with customers
•Close energy transactions with customers
•Work with the Luminant trading desk to develop price offers
•Assist other Sales Execs to close deals and service customers as needed
Experience, Education & Skill Requirements
•6-7 years related job experience in the above-mentioned responsibilities, preferably in the Energy industry
•3-5 years experience selling energy products
•Basic financial skills (budgeting, accounting, payback/project financing)
•Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to above skills
•High School Diploma or equivalency required
Key Metric
•Knowledge of the Texas energy market structure
•Ability to negotiate credit and contract provisions with customers
•Ability to manage a diverse range of customers simultaneously
•Achieve minimum levels of “Face to Face” meetings per month
•Leverage Salesforce.com for all aspects of the sales cycle
•Locate and sell to currently unidentified prospects in the respective territory
