Mainfreight Los Angeles Air is looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and motivated Sales Leader to join our ever-growing team.
We started in little old New Zealand with a few thousand dollars and one truck back in the 70’s… now we’re a global business with offices all over the world and generating over $2billion in revenue annually. We are looking for a Sales Manager with the same drive and determination that our founders built this company on.
Our Sales Manager:
- Manages a team of Account Executives and Account Managers assisting them in achieving our KPI’s
- Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales goals
- Manage both perishable sales and dry cargo sales with passion
- Provide monthly training and development sessions surrounding sales objectives
- Participate in monthly pipeline reviews for each team member and the greater branch team
- Will achieve sales goals through building relationships with customers that are focused on finding solutions and adding value to the customers’ market
- Identify leads in our target markets through referrals, cold calling, professional networking and existing customers
- Qualify prospects through research and build relationships with decision makers, stakeholders and influencers at the prospect’s organization
- Prepare for and conduct business meetings with clients including initial and follow up fact finding presentations, solution and SOP building that leads to closing and on boarding the client
- Have an opportunity for significant growth in this position, in a professional and economic scope
- We promote our team from within so we can provide many opportunities for our team to develop into management and senior leadership positions
- Travel within our assigned markets continually working to grow our client base.
The Candidate:
- You have 5+ years of sales experience
- You have a positive and enthusiastic attitude

- You are confident and self-aware, with a high level of reflection
- You take responsibility and have a solution focused, pro-active approach
- You combine a sharp customer focus with the necessary analytical skills and required conviction
- You are looking for a long-term relationship in a company where you can develop and grow your career
- You have a clean and valid driver’s license
