Job Summary: EFI seeks an experienced and strategically focused Sales Manager with expertise in
surfactants, biocides, and chelates, particularly in regulated markets requiring EPA-registered
MUPs. This role targets high-impact growth across sectors such as household and industrial
cleaning, personal care, water treatment, agriculture, oil & gas, food services, and automotive.
The Sales Manager will drive EFI’s market expansion through a deep understanding of specialty
chemicals, cultivating strong client relationships and delivering customized solutions across a
variety of applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Sales Planning and Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales
strategy aimed at expanding EFI’s market share in core industries—household cleaning,
personal care, water treatment, agriculture, oil & gas, automotive, and industrial
markets—by leveraging EFI’s unique surfactants, biocides, and chelates.
• Market Intelligence and Competitive Positioning: Conduct detailed market analysis to
stay informed on trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory changes, especially those
affecting biocides, EPA-registered MUPs, and surfactant chemistries. Use these insights
to position EFI as a preferred supplier in regulated and performance-focused markets.
• Key Account Management and Relationship Development: Establish and nurture strategic
client relationships across a range of industries, including personal care, industrial
cleaning, and water treatment, serving as the primary EFI contact for chemical solutions.
Offer expert guidance on regulatory compliance and customized applications to meet
complex client needs.
• New Business Development and Market Expansion: Identify and capture new business
opportunities within key sectors, including agricultural and oilfield chemicals, automotive,
and food services. Present EFI’s tailored solutions in surfactants, biocides, and chelates,
expanding the company’s presence in both regulated and performance-driven markets.
• Product Knowledge and Technical Insight: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of
EFI’s product portfolio, with a focus on surfactants, biocides, and chelates. Work closely
with EFI’s R&D team to align product features with client needs and market requirements, particularly within the scope of EPA MUP-registered biocides and
customized surfactant solutions.
• Regulatory Compliance and Expertise in EPA Standards: Act as a knowledgeable resource
on EPA and other regulatory requirements, especially for MUPs. Support clients in
navigating compliance landscapes, ensuring all EFI products meet the highest standards
for safety and regulatory adherence.
• Customized Solutions and Client Needs Analysis: Engage with clients across diverse
markets to assess specific needs, developing tailored solutions in surfactants, biocides,
and chelates that meet both regulatory and performance requirements. Position EFI’s
offerings as essential tools in clients’ operational workflows.
• Sales Forecasting, Data Analysis, and Strategic Reporting: Lead accurate sales forecasting
efforts and analyze key performance metrics to track EFI’s growth in various market
segments. Provide strategic insights and regular updates to management, contributing to
data-driven decision-making.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration and Product Development Input: Work with EFI’s
marketing, product management, and R&D teams to refine product offerings,
incorporating market feedback to ensure product relevance and regulatory compliance.
Share client insights to support product development, especially for innovative solutions
in biocides and chelates.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, or a related field;
advanced degree or MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in specialty chemicals sales, with proven expertise in
surfactants, biocides, chelates, and EPA-registered MUPs.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards for EPA
MUPs, with familiarity across industries such as personal care, household cleaning, water
treatment, and agriculture.
• Familiarity with diverse markets including oil & gas, food services, automotive, and
industrial applications.
• Exceptional relationship-building and strategic communication skills, establishing EFI as a
trusted partner across various market sectors.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft
Office, and sales forecasting tools.
• Ability to travel up to 50% for client meetings, industry events, and strategic partnership
development.
