We are looking for a seasoned and dynamic Senior Project Manager to spearhead our Geotechnical and Materials Testing Business Unit in Tucson. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in geotechnical engineering, materials testing, project management, and business development. This role is crucial for driving the unit’s success, fostering staff development, ensuring profitability, and expanding our client base.

Responsibilities:

• Project Oversight: Direct and manage projects from start to finish, ensuring timely, within-scope, and budget-compliant delivery.
• Resource Coordination: Work closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to allocate resources efficiently and address project issues swiftly.
• Compliance Assurance: Maintain adherence to industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Quality Control: Implement quality assurance measures to uphold the highest standards of project delivery and workplace safety.
• Financial Management: Oversee the Business Unit’s P&L, ensuring profitability and meeting financial targets.
• Business Development: Seek out and pursue new business opportunities, including preparing proposals, presentations, and bid submissions.
• Client Relations: Build and sustain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technical staff.
• Team Environment: Promote a collaborative and innovative team environment that supports professional growth and development.
• Performance Management: Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years in geotechnical engineering or materials testing
• 4 years Project Management Experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is requires or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Experience managing P&L and driving business growth
