Survey Manager

We are looking for a Survey Manager for a local civil engineering firm. Ideal candidates will come from a site surveying background and have led teams in the past. You will be managing the department so any skills in managing a budget, hiring/firing, and an eye on areas of improvement are key.

What you can expect

• Manage and lead the survey team (2 direct reports, 15 technicians), ensuring successful project execution and high-quality service delivery.
• Manage and mentor surveyors and support staff.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers for seamless integration.
• Work with owners, leader, and accounting to manage department budgets and performance.
• Ensure accuracy and reliability of survey data.
• Build strong client relationships and provide responsive solutions.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients.

What we are looking for

• 7+ years of experience in site surveying.
• 3+ years of experience leading/managing site surveying crews.
• Experience with surveying software (AutoCAD, GIS, Total Stations, etc.).
• Strong project management and communication skills.
