Overview
The Full-Stack Software Engineer will be part of a team that collaborates with business peers to develop Java-based applications used by top firms in the financial securities industry. Looking for well-rounded software developers who work well with iterative development methodologies to build high quality, professional web-based and back-end server applications. The ideal candidate will have experience using Spring Boot, React JS and AWS.
What you will do
- Review application requirements and business processes
- Actively contribute to design sessions and team discussions
- Develop features from requirements to completion with limited supervision
- Write unit and integration tests that verify requirements are met
- Review code and provide feedback on what can be improved
- Debug issues that arise; implement and deploy fixes
- Improve application performance and enhance product usability
- Work in an Agile environment; iterate over greenfield development and adapt to requirement changes
What you will bring
- 3-5 years of experience developing microservices applications using Agile methodologies
- Object oriented design/development, using Java and Spring Boot
- Experience with ReactJS and modern UI frameworks
- Experience with Java Persistence API (JPA) and SQL queries
- Experience with AWS cloud services Comfortable using Git as a version control system (GitLab)
- Experience building multi-threaded solutions handling high data load
- Experience writing unit and integration tests (JUnit/Mockito)
- Understanding of Dependency Injection/IoC
- Experience preferred with CI/CD Kubernetes, Docker, Jira and Confluence
