POSITION OVERVIEW
We seek a resourceful and proactive impact maker with at least 3-5 years of applicable experience to join our growing marketing team. As a Marketing Manager, you’ll be responsible for implementing and coordinating large projects and marketing operations , overseeing requests , handling quick-turnaround tasks, and managing vendor/agency/media relationships . You’ll ensure smooth marketing operations, support tech integration, and be a go-to problem-solver for day-to-day tasks. This role is focused on execution and collaboration across multiple teams to support the marketing and the firm’s strategic objectives. Additionally, you will have higher-level decision-making responsibilities, budget management for specific events, and lead coordination efforts while working closely with other team members.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Higher-Level Decision Making: Participate in higher-level decision-making processes to shape the strategic direction of marketing initiatives.
- Budget Management: Oversee budgeting for specific events, ensuring that all financial aspects are managed efficiently and within allocated resources while actively seeking opportunities to stretch the budget further and identify cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
- Implement and Coordinate Large Projects: Delegate and collaborate with cross-functional teams and marketing coordinators/associates to deliver on 2025 initiatives such as firm-wide rebranding, vendor integration, HubSpot consolidation and implementation, and other projects contributing to lead generation.
- Lead Coordination Efforts: Lead the coordination of marketing tasks and processes, ensuring that all activities are aligned with the firm's strategic objectives.
- Collaborate and Delegate: Work closely with other marketing team members, including coordinators and associates, to ensure efficient workflow and task completion without direct management responsibilities.
- Facilitate Communication and Collaboration: Act as a liaison between different teams and departments to ensure smooth communication and collaboration on marketing projects.
- Manage Vendor Relationships: Communicate and monitor performance and deadlines while building key vendor relationships. Contribute to the research, negotiation, and selection of future vendors.
- Cultivate Media Relations: Manage and cultivate media relationships, seeking out placement opportunities in PR and using tools like Qwoted to enhance the firm's visibility.
- Support Technology Integration: Assist with technology integration efforts like HubSpot and Asana for automation and operational efficiency. Stay up to date on the latest marketing technologies and trends.
- Support Recurring Marketing Activities: Oversee the execution of recurring marketing activities, such as quarterly newsletters, factsheets, and pitchbooks, ensuring they are completed on time and meet quality standards.
- Oversee Incoming Requests: Manage incoming marketing and operational requests, including handling quick-turnaround tasks like internal communications, slide edits, and data processing while liaising between different teams and departments to ensure smooth communication and collaboration on marketing projects.
- Maintain Project Documentation: Keep detailed records of project plans, progress reports, and any changes to project scope or timelines.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THIS ROLE
- Growing to be the trusted point person for projects and marketing operations within 6-12 months. Able to lead and initiate strategic initiatives within 1-2 years.
- Handling 80% of operational requests independently within 6 months, with the ability to lead, train, and delegate in 6-12 months.
- Supporting and leading change management efforts , ensuring smooth adoption of new tools like Asana and HubSpot within 1 year.

For this specific position:
- Experience in operations, business analysis, or financial services marketing is crucial. The quarter-end process involves a strict time crunch, requiring efficient newsletter editing, publishing, and the generation of dozens of factsheets and pitchbooks. This process requires collaboration with numerous departments, contributing to a challenging environment. If you can’t understand performance, attribution, or client segmentation, there may be a steep learning curve that could set you up for failure.
- Tech-savvy , proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. You also have experience with project management software like Microsoft Planner, Asana, Jira, and are able to build dependencies, set smart goals, and define success metrics (we may let you build a project using Asana during interview process).
- Understanding project management fundamentals , especially as they relate to marketing or business operations.
- Confident dealing with C-level executives , able to communicate clearly and say no gracefully.
