We are a cozy Vietnamese restaurant located in the lower east side of Manhattan offering comfort food. We are seeking an experienced Line Cook (exceptional wok skills is an added bonus) to join our kitchen team. If you’re passionate about Vietnamese cuisine and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with a focus on stir-fries, noodles, and other wok-based recipes
- Ensure proper preparation, cooking, and plating of food according to our restaurant’s standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, following health and safety regulations
- Work efficiently during peak hours while maintaining consistency and quality
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service and kitchen flow
- Assist with prep work, inventory, and other kitchen duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Line Cook with a strong focus on wok cooking
- Knowledge of Vietnamese or Asian cuisine is a plus
- Ability to handle high-volume cooking while maintaining quality and speed
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Excellent knife skills and knowledge of kitchen equipment
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with a positive attitude
