About Our Client

Our client, a heavy-equipment dealer and manufacturer, is seeking a bilingual Division Manager for their new location in Ottawa. The Division Manager will lead multiple branches in Southeastern Ontario, driving sales growth, profitability, and operational excellence within the new and used Truck & Trailer department.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and manage annual budgets for all branches within the division, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Drive revenue and profitability across all departments, including whole goods, parts, services, and administration.
  • Monitor inventory turn rates, aging, and mix to align with company objectives while safeguarding company assets.
  • Lead and develop branch teams, fostering a motivated and high-performing workforce that supports the long-term success of the company, employees, and customers.
  • Set performance targets for branch managers and evaluate their progress through KPIs provided by the company.
  • Achieve market share goals to support sustainable growth in partnership with manufacturers and key stakeholders.
  • Provide insights on competitive pressures and future business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Credit Services to monitor and manage receivables for all branches.
  • Maintain an active branch presence to offer leadership, supervision, and support.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and coordinate participation in customer fly-ins, open houses, and recruitment activities.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years in the heavy equipment industry, with at least 5 years in management or business operations.
  • A degree or diploma with a business focus is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Fluency in both English and French (written and spoken) is required.
  • Previous experience in sales and product support is essential.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, cost management, business planning, and setting/achieving strategic goals.
  • Ability to lead by example, manage multiple tasks, and work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Capable of balancing strategic and tactical initiatives while effectively solving complex challenges.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management and a focus on building strong customer relationships.
  • Must possess a valid passport; travel is required for this role.
