Director of Wellness

Are you ready to elevate senior care in a vibrant retirement residence in Stittsville, ON? We’re searching for a dedicated Director of Wellness to join our mission of providing exceptional independent living and respite care

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee nursing care for residents, ensuring personalized, up-to-date care plans
• Lead and manage the Wellness Team, providing training and performance reviews
• Administer medication, maintain medical records, and ensure regulatory compliance
• Liaise with residents’ families and manage admissions and discharges
• Ensure safety, infection control, and fire safety protocols are followed

Risk Management and Safety:

• Maintain compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations
• Report incidents, unsafe conditions, and adhere to infection control standards

Additional Duties:

• Perform other assigned duties and follow company policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current, active Ontario College of Nurses license
• Minimum 2 years’ leadership experience, preferably in healthcare
• Knowledge of senior care, nursing practices, and regulations
• CPR, First Aid certified, and strong communication skills
• Budget and labor management experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to assist with personal care, medication administration, and heavy lifting up to 50lbs
• Prolonged sitting, standing, and walking required
