Roles and Responsibilities

Customer

• Act as liaison with business executives to provide sourcing expertise.
• Support business partners within category specialties by contributing to governance and management programs.
• Manage category and strategic sourcing strategies to meet business partner needs and mitigate risks.
• Provide guidance on sourcing/outsourcing best practices.
• Present research findings and make recommendations to management.
• Lead supplier negotiations to maximize total cost of ownership.

Shareholder

• Adhere to enterprise frameworks and methodologies related to sourcing activities.
• Ensure sourcing programs and policies meet business needs, comply with requirements, and align with priorities.
• Manage confidential information and escalate issues where appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with financial controls and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in cross-functional initiatives, providing guidance for complex situations.
• Conduct research projects and support development of presentations.
• Monitor service, productivity, and efficiency levels within the function.
• Implement process and performance improvements.
• Manage relationships across business lines to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a culture of risk management and control.

Qualifications & Skills

• Post-Secondary Education.
• 7+ years of related experience.
• Advanced negotiation skills for complex contracts and IT solutions.
• Strategic sourcing experience to develop and implement sourcing strategies.
• Supplier development skills to improve quality, costs, and delivery performance.
• Risk management expertise to identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Contract negotiation and management experience, including terms, conditions, and performance metrics.
