About the Role

We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented Sandblasters to join our team. This role involves preparing surfaces for painting or coating by removing rust, dirt, and old paint using abrasive blasting techniques. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate sandblasting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Prepare surfaces by removing rust, paint, and debris through abrasive blasting techniques.
• Inspect completed work to ensure surfaces are ready for finishing or coating.
• Perform routine maintenance on sandblasting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate protective equipment at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in sandblasting or a related field is an asset.
• Familiarity with sandblasting equipment and techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high-quality standards.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in demanding environments.
• Basic knowledge of workplace safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in abrasive blasting or a related trade.
• Knowledge of surface preparation standards and coating requirements.
• Experience working with industrial coatings or painting.
