Amazing long term contract opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer with Solar / Power Generation background.

Our Client is looking for an experienced Project Engineer with solid knowledge of Solar or Power Generation projects experience. This is a 2 year contract with a leading Energy Company.

Responsibilities:

• Leading the technical aspects of all project agreements including engineering, procurement and construction agreements, utility crossing and road use agreements, interconnection agreements up to final completion.
• Leading discipline engineers and SME’s in support of achieving project desired results
• Preparing appropriate technical scope of work and complete such scope using internal company resources and/or supervising external consultants while ensuring Contractor and Vendor compliance with all the project technical requirements.
• Update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the projects engineering progress plus Managing engineering budget and ensure the delivery of site safety metrics, and schedule.
• Ensuring project compliance with all acts and regulations enacted by authorities having jurisdiction
• Providing input and recommendations to the Senior Project Manager’s plans and directions, ensuring an appropriate understanding of the clients construction strategy and application to the specific construction site, and ensuring ongoing effective positioning and appropriate relationships between key stakeholders

Must have:

• Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred. Electrical, Civil or Chemical Engineering may also be considered.
• 5+ years of experience in Power Generation industry. Solar generation project experience is preferred
• 10+ years' experience in a major project execution environment as either a project manager or project engineer.
• Experience in contract negotiation and execution, and claims negotiation.
• Able to travel to the USA on average once a month
• Familiarity with environmental permit requirements pertaining to power plant operations, construction and understanding of OHSA regulations and compliance.
