L'abeille is a 54 seat French “Bistronomy” Restaurant in the heart of lower Manhattan in Tribeca headed by Chef Mitsunobu Nagae, who has extensive experiences in haute cuisine at multiple Michelin-Starred restaurants in Tokyo (L'Osier, Chateau Restaurant Joel Robuchon), Paris (Ledoyen), and New York (L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon, Shun) . His vision for the Restaurant is to provide the kind of food one would be served at great restaurants in France - highest quality food served in a friendly, non-formal environment is the core concept of our dining experience.

Executive Pastry Chef:
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of 2-5 years experience in a previous culinary supervisory or management experience within a high-volume kitchen setting is essential
- A degree from internationally recognized culinary institution preferred
- Highly developed knowledge of various culinary styles and mastery of all line level cooking stations
- Detail orientated & motivated to be proactive in a fast-paced setting
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Lead the entire pastry department in ensure high performance and overall excellence & hospitality in the Pastry Department throughout each day’s specific service periods, ensure consistent execution of pastry offerings and timely flow of service.
- Act as a trusted partner to the Executive Chef, always maintaining positive working relationships and clear communication with Kitchen & Service teams.
- Develop all recipes, ensuring product, food preparations and food execution meet restaurant's style, specifications, and commitment to culinary excellence.
- Continuously provide leadership and guidance to all pastry staff and actively participate on the in line as needed
- Responsible for a method of service, production, and cooking to ensure all items are prepared to meet deadlines and standards
- Taste and review products daily to ensure quality and consistency with preparation and presentation
