What the Role Offers - Material Handler


The Material Handler performs tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment.


What You Need to Succeed


  • Verify incoming and outgoing materials, raw material release/quarantine/rejected, handle and disposition of materials, and maintain inventory in a compliant state.
  • Unpack and check materials received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods, rejected and quarantine goods.
  • Prepare and ship materials and/or finished goods.
  • Examine, stock, and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
  • Follow quality protocol by mitigating picking, shipping, or loading errors, palletize without damaging cartons, and ensuring customer pallets are in the best condition.
  • Operate and use power equipment such as a forklift, hand tools and other devices operated in a warehouse environment.
  • Follow and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Follow and adhere to all safety procedures.
  • Must be able to work well without supervision


Required Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma/GED Required.
  • Driver's license.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is an asset, training will be provided.
  • Knowledge of safe handling of hazardous and temperature sensitive material
  • Experience working in a production environment, ideally in a cleanroom setting.
  • Knowledge of clean room procedures is an asset.
  • Ability to take initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed; performs work independently without being prompted.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities. Manages time effectively and adapts quickly to changing priorities. Ability to work within tight timelines. Ability to handle multiple tasks and organize.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others.
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on quality, accuracy, sterility, and aseptic technique.
  • Basic computer and math skills.


Physical Demands:


  • Frequently use of office equipment that requires manual dexterity to operate (i.e. computers, phones, etc.).
  • Occasional carrying, handling, and reaching for objects up to 30 pounds.
  • Frequently sit or stand for long periods of time.


Mental Demands:


  • Requires operational discipline to consistently focus and execute work-related tasks, with a minimum of human error and supervision. This involves self-checking of work immediately upon completion, and the ability to find / correct errors.
  • Ability to elevate potential concerns/discrepancies to supervisors or management in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to manage time effectively to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously required.
  • Ability to use problem-solving techniques to ensure project goals are met.
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written are necessary to communicate within different departments and with external clients, maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to adhere to ethical standards of conduct as well as applicable state and federal laws.


Working Conditions:


  • This position is mainly performed in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to drive the company van between our Redmond and Woodinville facilities.
  • Onsite position in Woodinville, WA. No remote or hybrid work is available for this position.
  • Primarily this position involves working in an office environment.
  • Occasional work in a temperature-controlled environment may be required.
  • Ability to travel between facilities depending on business needs.
  • Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, odors, chemicals, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, and intense noises


Estimated Base Salary: $24.00 - $30.00 / Hourly DOE
