Role: Sr Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Syracuse NY

Duration: 12 Months on w2

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee project management for new equipment validation, from purchase order to product release, ensuring compliance with regulatory and validation requirements.
• Collaborate directly with suppliers to provide feedback and critique for parts and processes.
• Manage and validate plastic injection molding tools, processes, and metrology.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years (preferred 8+ years) of significant engineering or operational experience in injection molding, with emphasis on medical device or pharma manufacturing.
• Candidates with 10+ years of molding experience and a high school diploma will be considered.

Required Skills:

• Expertise in plastic injection molding technologies and mold tool design.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, metrology, and design of fixtures.
• Experience with FMEA, risk analysis, and process capability analysis.
• Knowledge of cGMP, FDA, and ISO-regulated environments.
• Effective communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
• Experience with first article inspection (FAI) and process validation.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with instrumentation molding for process control.
• Strong project management skills in third-party manufacturing environments
