Job Summary:

The Accounts Payable Clerk will play a crucial role for San Vicente West Village accounting department and contribute to the efficiency of the financial operations. In this role your responsibilities will include full cycle handling of accounts payable responsibilities according to company policies and procedures. The Accounts Payable Clerk will work closely with the Controller and part take in month end closing. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills with the ability to develop effective relationships across the organization and outside vendors.


Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices, credit card expenses and employee expense reports according to company policies and procedures.
  • Review and process travel agent commissions payments.
  • Prepare and process vendor payments according to vendor terms.
  • Prepare Positive Pay file for bank upload.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies including vendor statements, vendor inquiries and payment issues.
  • Reconcile vendor statements, ensuring all variances and discrepancies are verified in a timely manner.
  • Prepare monthly files for capital expenditures.
  • Maintain vendor information and W9 forms.
  • Assist with preparation and filing of 1099 forms.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports upon request.
  • Assist with month end closing.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in fast paced environment.
  • Additional tasks, projects and duties assigned by the Controller.


Qualifications:

  • B.S. or BA in Accounting is a plus.
  • Minimum 1-year experience in related business field as accounts payable clerk preferred.
  • Experience with R365 System is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Excel is a plus.
