The Shop Floor Technician Position

The Shop Floor Technician works with the internal Hi-Watt team to help in assembling, wiring, and troubleshooting electrical control panels as laid out in drawings. The position reads and interprets electrical drawing and technical instructions to identify and resolve technical issues during the assembly process. This hands-on position allows an individual to gain experience and grow their skills and knowledge of industrial control applications.


Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities for the Shop Floor Technician Position

  • Associate’s degree in electrical engineering or Electronics Technology, or an equivalent of training and work experience
  • Practical experience with electrical wiring and control panel layout
  • Familiarity with the National Electronic Code
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using AutoCAD is a plus!
