Title : Production Engineering Manager

About the Opportunity:

Sterling Engineering's 20+ year client, a leading manufacturer of US made custom thermal components is looking for a Production Engineering Manager to join their organization. This is a stable company whom has been a leader in their market for over 50 years with a diverse book of business in all industries setting them up for stability and growth.

Job Duties :

• Manage, control, and improve manufacturing processes
• Identify and eliminate production bottlenecks
• Monitor, measure, and reduce waste
• Minimize work in process inventory and manufacturing lead times
• Develop and train group leaders and supervisors
• Manage production and employee issues
• Motivate, train, and develop employees
• Manufacture high-quality products
• Interface with engineering for design improvements
• Ensure a safe and OSHA-compliant work environment
• Administer company policies and procedures
• Determine and pursue continuous improvement opportunities

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred
• Minimum 10 years related experience with at least 3 years of management
• Ability to manage 60-70 people
• Knowledge of engineering concepts (BOM, costing, design, CAD)
• Excellent problem-solving and project management
• Excellent leadership, motivation, and development skills
