Taylor Hopkinson is currently in active pursuit of a Contract Manager in Houston, Texas to join a Spanish leader in photovoltaic self-consumption facilities, offering 360º services by being present throughout the energy value chain through four business lines: power generation, construction of energy projects, energy commercialization and product manufacturing with established operations in US, Italy, Mexico, France, Germany, and Morocco.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate EPC contracts, subcontracts, and supplier agreements.
- Ensure contract terms align with project requirements, legal standards, and company policies.
- Facilitate discussions with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
- Manage the contract lifecycle, from initiation to closeout, ensuring timely execution and compliance.
- Monitor contractual obligations and ensure all parties fulfill their commitments.
- Maintain accurate records of all contracts, amendments, and associated documentation.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to contractual obligations, project delays, and financial exposure.
- Collaborate with legal and project teams to address potential disputes or claims.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, local laws, and company standards.
- Work closely with project managers, procurement teams, and other stakeholders to align contract terms with project goals.
- Provide training and guidance on contract management best practices to internal teams.
- Act as the primary point of contact for contract-related inquiries and issues.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate vendor and subcontractor performance.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure adherence to contractual terms and conditions.
- Recommend improvements to optimize contract processes and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management, preferably within the C&I solar or renewable energy sector.
- Strong knowledge of EPC contracts, construction law, and industry regulations.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with solar-specific technologies, equipment, and supply chain processes.
- Experience with risk management and claims resolution in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of PPA structures, financing agreements, and tax incentives in the solar industry.
