Job Title: Securities Lending Operations Analyst
Location: Salt Lake City, UT 84101-2174 (5 days/week onsite)
Duration: 01/27/2025 – 07/25/2025
Pay Rate: $23.00/hour
Key Responsibilities:
As an Operations - Securities Lending Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and optimizing securities lending operations for a leading global financial services firm. Your responsibilities include:
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Develop and maintain strong relationships with business, engineering, operations, and credit stakeholders, actively partnering to drive changes and deliver exceptional service and support.
- Transaction Management: Ensure transactions are delivered within agreed timeframes according to SLAs, while maintaining high-quality processing standards and fostering a zero-error culture.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate operational risks inherent in the business, implementing adequate operational controls for non-generic processes.
- Daily Monitoring & Reporting:
- Manage and book recall requests on borrows from various lenders.
- Oversee and record returns on loans to external counterparts.
- Track and amend returns on open borrows based on counterparty feedback.
- Inform the trading desk daily on borrows recalled but not returned.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in cash and securities positions in the firm’s books and records.
- Query Resolution: Act as a liaison with the trading desk and lenders, ensuring timely resolution of recall/return requests.
- Margin Management: Coordinate margin delivery/receipt based on stock borrow/loan settlements and mark-to-market activity.
- Process Oversight:
- Complete and oversee daily checklists, ensuring adherence to controls, procedures, and processes.
- Serve as a change agent, addressing root causes of problems and identifying opportunities for process automation.
Skills & Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience within securities lending operations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand technical workflows in detail.
- Self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven flexibility and teamwork, with the ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous project management experience or demonstrated ability to identify and drive process improvement initiatives.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
