Job Title: IT Solutions Owner (SAP)

Location: Hybrid On-Site 2-3x/week in West Palm Beach, FL

Work Authorization: USC/GC Holder Only

Job Type : Direct Hire

Overview

The Global IT New Product Development (NPD) & Quality Solution Owner (“Solution Owner”) reports to the IT NA & Global Process Lead, Information Technology, and partners with the New Product Development (NPD) and Quality business functions to translate functional strategy and requirements into process and data solutions. This role requires proficiency in Research & Development and Quality business processes, consumer product goods industry knowledge and SAP and non-SAP technical platforms.


The Solution Owner brings deep process and system knowledge (especially in the areas of SAP Product Lifecycle Management, SAP PLM-CR Change Record and SAP Quality Management) and is responsible for the design and roadmap of all New Product Development and Quality IT projects through the company and its partners.


The primary function of the Solution Owner is to work with the NPD and Quality functions to understand the vision and define capabilities required to enable the vision of the function. In addition, the solution owner will provide an outside-in perspective from the industry and partner with the Enterprise Architecture team to optimize current processes and drive business outcomes from technology investments. The Solution Owner must be self-driven, with strong business process and systems knowledge, analytical skills, excellent communication, and good customer presence.


Detailed Roles & Responsibilities

  • Engage and influence functional stakeholders on process and technology decisions aligned to global strategies, processes and solutions
  • Deliver business value through their expertise and help drive growth in business
  • Developing the IT strategic roadmap for their process area
  • Ensure transparency of the value and total cost of ownership (TCO) of all solutions in their process area
  • Build robust IT solutions that are sustainable and drive application rationalization
  • In relationship with the Tower Delivery Lead, ensure the delivery of program/projects is in line with business objectives at lowest possible costs, and agreed timeline and realizing business benefits while delivering quality solutions
  • Partner with IT Enterprise Architecture to ensure that the solutions identified are compliant with EA strategy and standards
  • Analyze high-level requirements and conduct cost/benefit analysis to determine proper architecture solution
  • Implement best practices to continually improve performance of solutions to achieve the long-term strategic goals
  • Seek and obtain a deep understanding of the solutions supporting the New Product Development and Quality processes
  • Collaborate with relevant partners and stakeholders to ensure project and operational performance
  • Play a leadership role in delivering New Product Development and Quality projects and solutions
  • Partner with the business to develop idea management artifacts (project scope, charter, business case)
  • Help the functions understand system impacts to process improvement and changes
  • Work with external partners to implement new functionality according to functional requirements
  • Complete and oversee SAP (PLM, PLM Change Record & QM) and non-SAP technical and application changes
  • Actively participate in industry forums and understand how new industry trends can be leveraged in the NPD and Quality functions


Work Experiences

  • Minimum of 10+ years of relevant IT experience executing or leading SAP implementations of PLM, PLM-CR and QM solutions
  • 5+ years in roles demonstrating exceptional leadership and solution capabilities partnering or part of Research & Development and Quality functions
  • Has led Research & Development and Quality projects to optimize business processes leveraging technology
  • Knowledge and experience with SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) & SAP PLM Change Record (PLM-CR) is a must
  • Knowledge and experience with Quality Management (QM) is a must
  • Knowledge and experience with SAP Fiori preferred
  • Led business case development for complex R&D and Quality initiatives
  • Detailed understanding of S/4 HANA system integration and functionality
  • Led or key participant in software/ vendor selection activities
  • Experienced in Research, Development and Quality business applications with technological awareness


Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools
  • SAP certification is preferred
