Job Description

The Wilner group has teamed up with a property management firm that oversees properties across the northeastern region. Together, we are looking for a Risk Manager to join their team at their corporate office in Pleasantville, NJ. This is a full-time, on-site position with a compensation of $90k—$115k.

Responsibilities


  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards, vulnerabilities, and liabilities. Evaluate existing risk controls and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure company operations adhere to federal, state, and local regulations. Develop, implement, and maintain risk management policies and procedures. Collaborate with legal counsel to manage contractual risks.
  • Oversee the procurement and renewal of insurance policies, including property, liability, and workers’ compensation. Manage insurance claims, ensuring timely reporting, resolution, and documentation.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans for natural disasters, security breaches, and other crises. Conduct regular safety audits and coordinate training for property staff.

Qualification:


  • Bachelor’s degree in risk management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years in risk management, property management, or real estate.
  • Strong knowledge of risk management principles, insurance, and compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in risk management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel to property sites as needed.
