CalWest's partner school in the Bay Area seeks an experienced Physics Teacher to begin in July 2025.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree is required.
• Master's degree and experience working with secondary school students preferred.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dedication to creating an inclusive and diverse learning environment.
• Experience working with middle school students is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Teaching classical mechanics alongside a rotation of thematic classes at the middle school and high school levels.
• Ensure lesson plans are engaging and active, which supports a positive classroom management program.
• Additional responsibilities include mentoring independent projects and teaching mini-courses related to physics or the successful candidate’s interests.
• Foster creativity and problem-solving skills through hands-on projects and activities.
• Encourage collaboration and teamwork among students on physics projects.
