Title - Sr. HR Manager

Hours: 8 - 5 - Onsite

Location: Chicago, IL

Salary: Up to $135k

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7–10 years of experience in an HR Generalist role, with a focus on labor and employee relations.
  • Industry knowledge in transportation or logistics is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, compensation, and HR best practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across all levels.
  • Proven strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee employment, employee relations, labor relations, compensation, benefits, performance management, and workforce planning to align with organizational strategy.
  • Work with the Area HR Director to develop forward-thinking HR solutions that support business goals and drive transformation.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to leaders at all levels, providing guidance on HR issues to support organizational capability and growth.
  • Promote fairness and consistency by implementing and interpreting employee and labor relations policies.
  • Craft and implement HR strategies to drive performance, retention, and a culture of excellence.
  • Manage recruitment efforts for exempt and non-exempt roles, ensuring a seamless onboarding process.
  • Identify talent gaps, mitigate risks, and strengthen the leadership pipeline through proactive planning.
  • Deliver targeted training opportunities to enhance leadership skills and capabilities.
  • Develop and monitor programs that promote a positive and thriving workplace environment.
