Summary/Objective
The Manager of DevOps will supervise DevOps Engineer with skills in AWS, Salt and CI/CD. You will be working closely with the Development and QA teams to produce reliable and secure production infrastructures and operate multiple environments in the software development process.
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities
-This role requires strong background in DevOps Tools and Practices: Proficiency in CI/CD processes and tools, particularly ArgoCB for GitOps workflows.
-Infrastructure as code (IaC): Expertise in Terraform for managing infrastructure, ensuring we’re applying the best practices in IaC.
-In depth understanding of Kubernetes, including deploying, managing and troubleshooting clusters in production environments.
-Cloud platform experience: Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP or Azure) and integrating cloud services into DevOps pipelines.
-Scripting and automation: Ability to script and automate workflows using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
-Metrics and Monitoring: Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana or DataDog) to track performance metrics across applications and infrastructure.
-KPI Development and Tracking: Proficiency in developing and tracking KPIs, with a focus on reliability, deployment frequency, failure recovery time and system uptime.
-Continuous Improvement: Drive for performance optimization based on KPI’s, supporting faster deployments and higher availability.
Education and Experience
-Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
-3+ years of management experience.
-Proven interpersonal skills and ability to identify new processes and provide mentorship to DevOps Engineers.
-7+ years of experience in technical operations, cloud infrastructure or DevOps.
Proven track record in managing large scale projects.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
