Job Description:
The contractor will work closely with suppliers, Contract Manufacturers (CM), and cross-functional teams to ensure all requirements are delivered while maintaining regular production without disruption. The role emphasizes a technical background, supply chain, procurement, and transition project experience.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate China +1 initiatives with cross-functional teams for selected categories, including:
- Battery
- PCU
- Printhead
- Collaborate on supply chain resiliency and continuity for critical Tier 3, 4, and 5 components/materials beyond Tier 1 and 2 direct components.
- Apply planning, organizational, and leadership skills to ensure successful project execution.
- Utilize technical knowledge skillsets and demonstrate team-based work proficiencies.
- Conduct process mapping and develop RACI matrices.
- Work with program management, engineering, procurement, quality, safety, and regulatory teams on China +1 priority commodities (Battery and Power) as agreed by ELT and BoD.
- Provide regular updates and readouts on supplier status.
- Research cell manufacturers (Pouch), evaluate costs, and assess technology.
- Collaborate with strategic component teams (cross-functional committees) to improve lessons learned and adapt to evolving requirements due to tariff impacts.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering , Electrical Engineering , or a related STEM field , and Supply Chain experience.
- Must be authorized to work in Canada without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
