Company Description
At ZENDA, we’ve spent years helping organizations achieve transformative change by focusing on the balance of all dimensions of work. For decades, we have worked shoulder to shoulder with management consultants, product vendors and our clients’ business, technology and workforce stakeholders to transform business operations. We identified a gap—businesses need a scalable solution that can capture the true complexity of operations, leverage human insights from the context of work, and evolve operations intelligently. That’s why we created the ZENDA platform.
A first-of-its-kind SaaS business system, the ZENDA platform provides multi-disciplinary teams an environment in which to plan and manage business processes - leveraging existing enterprise data resources to define and manage enterprise operations from the context of work . ZENDA allows business and technology stakeholders to plan and manage the true complexity of business processes. (
Role Description
Currently there are two Senior Designer positions available in our growing team. These are unique positions and we ask that applicants consider our requirements carefully before applying. ZENDA designers are unique because they are responsible for defining what our platform will do, while also shaping how the platform will manifest these capabilities to end users. For this reason a designer at ZENDA is often described as a "Full Stack Designer ".
You will be a member of a small, dynamic design team responsible for the design and specification of a complex business software product. Unlike typical design roles in the technology space, the ZENDA designer is part product owner, part graphic designer, part industrial designer, business analyst, typographer, product tester, and engineering curious architect. They are infinitely curios, collaborative to a fault, and don't believe that design's singular focus is 'simplicity'. The platform we are designing is complex, and we embrace this complexity. Our role is to make complexity clear .
Qualifications
- A Portfolio : You will be required to provide a portfolio full of exploration and inquiry into the role of form and color in communicating complex information, providing human experiences, and expressing thoughts and ideas. If your portfolio is limited to a collection of apps, no matter how novel they may be, that's not what we're looking for.
- Designer with a capital "D" - We want to see you, the designer, beyond the computer screen. What are your thoughts and experiences related to physical spaces? Can you show us your thoughts on the design of a human experience - in all of its complexity? Walk us through the best design you have ever produced, seen, or experienced. If you could get your hands on one thing to redesign it, what would it be? What would you do? Why?
- Design Process - Leaving 'design thinking frameworks' and other canned notions of design at the door, you will be asked to demonstrate your experience, skills, and unique perspectives on problem definition, solution exploration, engineering, production and refinement.
- Design Qualifications - We believe strongly that formal design training (undergraduate and/or graduate degree) is necessary to succeed in this role.
If you are a candidate who has read this far and believes this is the perfect role for you, the following are probably not an issue.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience in conducting design research and user testing
- Knowledge of design principles and trends
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience in the tech or creative industry is a plus
