Position Overview

The Bar and Bottle Shop Manager will oversee all aspects of the Midtown location’s operations, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, seamless management of the bar and bottle shop, and a high-performing team. This role requires a strong interest in craft spirits, craft cocktails, and the ability to foster a culture of excellence and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Management

  • Manage daily operations of the bottle shop, tasting room, and cocktail lounge.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of 3 staff members, creating schedules, providing training, and ensuring optimal performance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for staff, providing guidance and resolving any issues.

Guest Experience

  • Deliver an outstanding customer experience by providing expert knowledge of craft spirits and cocktails.
  • Host tastings, educate guests about BOTLD’s product offerings, and ensure a welcoming and engaging environment.
  • Address customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and efficient manner.

Bar and Bottle Shop Operations

  • Oversee inventory management for spirits, mixers, and bar supplies, ensuring accurate stock levels.
  • Coordinate product displays, pricing, and merchandising to maximize sales and highlight BOTLD’s unique offerings.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality cocktail and tasting menus in collaboration with the BOTLD team.

Compliance and Reporting

  • Monitor sales data and provide regular reports to leadership on performance and opportunities for growth.
  • Manage cash handling, POS systems, and financial reconciliations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing a bar, tasting room, or similar hospitality environment.
  • Strong interest and knowledge of craft spirits, cocktails, and the alcohol industry.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving priorities.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and POS systems (experience with TOAST preferred).
