Managing Director, Business Development / Financial Sponsors

As the Managing Director, Business Development / Financial Sponsors, you will focus on building and expanding relationships within the Private Equity community . Leveraging your extensive investment banking or investor relations experience , you will significantly increase the firm’s presence in this sector, opening doors in private equity firms and expanding our relationship network. This new role based on Firm growth will work with firm Principals, subject matter experts and industry experts to make connections.
Responsibilities – Managing Director, Business Development
- Relationship Management: Develop / Maintain strong relationships with private equity professionals and firms; Serve as a trusted advisor, offering strategic guidance and insights
- Business Development: Identify / Pursue new business opportunities within the private equity sector; Create / Execute strategies to enhance Firm’s market presence and influence
- Advisory Services: Lead / Manage financial advisory activities, including board placement, performance improvement, and credit advisory, providing tailored financial solutions to clients
- Market Analysis: Continuously monitor / analyze market trends, industry developments, and economic factors affecting the private equity landscape; Use this knowledge to inform client strategies and identify new opportunities
- Networking: Expand Firm’s network by engaging with key decision-makers at private equity firms and other financial sponsors
Qualifications – Managing Director, Business Development
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field required (MBA or a financial designation is strongly preferred)
- 10 to 15 years of experience as an investment banking coverage specialist with a broad range of coverage with financials sponsors, specifically private equity
- Proven track record in financial advisory services and transactions
- Extensive network of key relationships within the financial sector
- Demonstrated success in relationship management and business development within the private equity sector
- Strong analytical skills and market acumen, with the ability to provide strategic advisory services
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, with a client-centric approach
- Experience working across different cultures and geographic locations, enhancing a global perspective on financial services
- Ability to transform relationships into business opportunities
- Ability to travel for networking purposes
