Business Development Specialist - Miami, FL


$100,000 to $125,000 base salary (commensurate with experience); competitive discretionary bonus potential; benefits


Summary : As a key member of our Financial Advisory Firm, you will be the first point of contact for prospective clients, laying the foundation for positive and productive relationships.


Ideal candidate : Bachelor’s degree; 2 to 4 years’ proven Business Development exp. (financial advisory, investment banking, management consulting, M&A, private equity, Big 4 or similar environment helpful); excellent communication skills / self-motivated / persistent / high call volume / ability to deal with rejection.


Responsibilities – Business Development Specialist


  • Conduct high volume outbound calls to prospective clients to introduce the Firm and services
  • Explain advisory processes in a clear and concise manner
  • Gather key information about prospective clients
  • Coordinate follow-up meetings for senior team members to provide in-depth consultations
  • Maintain accurate records of all communications and interactions with prospective and established clients
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and refine outreach strategies
  • Stay informed about financial advisory business, trends, etc.


Qualifications – Business Development Specialist


  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 2 to 4 years’ proven business development experience (financial advisory, investment banking, management consulting, M&A, private equity, Big 4 or similar environment is helpful but not required)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
  • Driven, self-starter mentality; persistent; strong attention to detail
  • Positive and resilient attitude with the ability to handle rejection
  • Excellent / Highly efficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluency in Mandarin a plus but not required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (specially Excel)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with CRM software ideal
